-- JoinMO (www.JoinMO.com)
is a new service launched on September 1st, which allows small business owners and individual buyers to purchase large bulk orders previously unavailable to them through wholesalers or other merchants. The system works by having one person (either one of the buyers or someone employed by a merchant) organize the deal with several smaller buyers and the seller using an online platform to create a listing and accept orders.
“Putting together mass orders can be difficult in today’s marketplace,”
says Ben, co-founder of JoinMO.com. “The JoinMO platform helps to simplify the process by letting an organizer create a listing and promote it on and off the site. We help buyers not only save money on shipping with bulk orders, but also to test markets by seeing if a demand truly exists and to save money where discounts are available only for bulk purchases. We make it possible for the small business owner or independent professional to compete with the buying power of large corporations.”
JoinMO.com doesn’t play a direct role in payment processing, and the company doesn’t guarantee any orders. It’s the responsibility of the organizer of each mass order purchase to finalize agreements, as well as payment and return terms, with merchants and buyers in the group.
JoinMO is an online mass order system which allows traditionally small quantity buyers to take advantage of bulk purchase discounts by placing orders as a group with merchants or suppliers. One person serves as the “organizer,”
who serves as a contact between participants and merchants (the organizer can be employed by the merchant or a buyer themselves). The system at JoinMO is set up to allow non-bulk buyers to get cheaper rates, lower shipping costs, and the ability to order from merchants who usually only sell products to bulk buyers. JoinMO, launched September 2007, is a platform to facilitate the organization process of mass orders, and the company doesn’t directly take part in any payment or delivery matters.
