Sept. 22, 2007 - PRLog -- Viralg is selling its key anti-piracy technology.
Viralg announced that it is selling its anti-piracy technology to the highest bidder. According to Viralg founder Juha Natunen, the decision to sell its key intellectual property comes as Viralg is at a crossroads where they either have to ask for capital from venture capitalists so that the company can fuel the expected high demand for their technology, or sell the technology so that they could remain the small development company they wanted to be. After careful deliberation, Natunen said, he, together with his partners in the company, decided to sell the technology instead. Viralg will continue to focus on other development projects in the pipeline, Natunen added.

Natunen pointed interested parties to a web address http://www.viralg.com/ip
for the bidding details or directly to the eBay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280155059101.

Viralg's technology counters illegal sharing of movies, music, games and software programs over P2P networks. Viralg's target market for the technology include recording companies, game and software producers. Depending on source the number of P2P users have grown almost 100% in last few years.
