The 4-day Icelandic cultural event is organised by the Reykjavik to Foundation and supported by Icelandic Music Export (IMX, www.icelandicmusic.is).
By: Iceland Music Export Múm’s highly anticipated show will follow the release of their fourth studio album "Go Go Smear The Poison Ivy, Let Your Crooked Hands Be Holy" and will also introduce some new band members. Ghostigital are made up of ex-Sugarcubes singer/poet Einar Örn, and fellow sonic explorer Curver, who create a groundbreaking blend of words, beats and sounds. Ghostigital have been taking the noise scene by storm with their blend of Industrial, Bel Canto, Jazz, Rap, ‘80’s New Wave and Electronic music. The Icelandic Dance Company’s first piece, “Open Source”, will be choreographed by Iceland's leading dance-theatre artist, Helena Jónsdóttir and composed by Skúli Sverrisson. The second performance, “Happy New Year”, is choreographed by one of Europe’s best-known choreographers, Rui Horta, who has created pieces for some of the world's foremost dance companies. Funded by the Art and Culture Department of Rotterdam, the Reykjavik To Rotterdam festival promises to be a fascinating, diverse and profound cultural experience.
