Sept. 14, 2007 - PRLog -- September 5, 2007 - LonMark International (LMI) is proudly announcing its full support of LonWorld 2007 on 14-15 November 2007 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Themed “Energy and Control”, the two-day event consists of a conference and a full exhibition, both offering visitors an in-depth view of LON technology applications and benefits in homes, buildings and industrial structures as well as street lighting, infrastructure and transport.

Prior LonWorld conferences focused on increasing awareness of LON technology and growing the market in key segments. Since then, the automation industry has developed and so has LonWorld. The convention has grown to include all market sectors from end-users and system integrators to manufacturers and OEMs, and represents all automation business applications. LonWorld 2007 could not be better, with new faces and fresh ideas taking centre stage.

LonMark International is a leading sponsor of the event, recognizing its importance in furthering energy conservation and economic sustainability. “With the market constantly changing, LonWorld has taken the industry movement in-stride, re-defining its focus and expanding into new areas,” said Ron Bernstein, Executive Director, LonMark International. “LonWorld brings the entire controls market together, allowing the possibilities and benefits of LON to be discovered through partnerships that otherwise would not take place.”

Bernstein added: “LMI, as an organization dedicated to promoting interoperability standards for the benefit of manufacturers, integrators and end users, supports LonWorld’s innovative approach to improving all aspects of our lives by taking LON technology to new heights.”

In addition to hosting a booth in the exhibition hall, LMI will also be presenting at the LonWorld Conference. “The conference this year is the first of its kind,” said Bernstein. “It is overseen by an independent advisory committee and covers all automation segments focusing specifically on energy, energy efficiency and exploring how LON can be applied in new and intelligent applications.”

The Conference Program has recently been released and includes presentations from the International Energy Agency and the Cartif Foundation. The complete program can be viewed on the LonWorld 2007 website at www.lonworldexpo.com.
