Blue Jar Signs Licensing Deal, 3 Year Management Deal and Tour of India 08

Sept. 5, 2007 - PRLog -- N. Ireland’s only Gypsy Jazz Band Blue Jar have just signed a lucrative deal with W.O.A International with regard to their new album Pelican Crossing.  W.O.A International is a global Entertainment Company that houses W.O.A Records, W.O.A Studios and W.O.A Management and has a background in conceptualizing and organizing world class live concerts and festivals.

W.O.A International is now organizing a tour of India that features 15 international artists performing in major cities across India. The Tour will have 6 W.O.A Records artists including World Music Star & W.O.A founder Oliver Sean, N. Ireland’s Gypsy Jazz band Blue Jar, Internationally Acclaimed Singer/Performer Alison Woods (UK), Pop/Rock/World Band Cloud 9 (UAE) & Dance Producers/Performers The Goa Funk Project and 9 other International artists from across the world (USA, Denmark, New Zealand, Colombia, Australia, Dominican Republic, France, Slovenia and Russia).

The dates are 15th of Jan '08 till the 15th of Feb '08 plus 5 days for a video shoot and press meets etc... Cities are Goa, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kerala, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Calcutta and more venues / cities being added.
The tour will be supported by MTV India, Zee Music, NDTV and various
publications assuring great media coverage including spots/interviews with the artistes on Radio and TV, which W.O.A is known to deliver. Additionally, a compilation CD will be produced by W.O.A Records comprising of all the artists on this tour. The compilation will be sold along the tour, all across India at
Planet M’s, Music Worlds and various other stores and Internationally across 2400 Record Stores including Tower Records around the world by the worlds biggest CD distributor SUPER-D and Online on iTunes, Yahoo Music, Rhapsody, Sony Tunes etc.
One Music Video will also be shot comprising of all the artistes singing a song co-composed by all these 15 awesome artistes, the video will be featured on all the top music channels across the world Including MTV India, MTV Asia, MTV, MTV Europe, VH1, Sky/Granada TV Networks, Trace TV, Zee Music, Channel V besides others.
There is also a spot secured for Blue Jar on the "Goa Chillout Zone - 1" Compilation CD. This is the much publicised compilation CD that is in the lines of Buddha Bar and Cafe Del Mar but with a wider musical appeal.

BLUE JAR                              
N. Ireland’s only Gypsy Jazz band. “Blue Jar combines the panache of Grappelli with Gypsy flamboyance, yet balances this passion with a dreamy, atmospheric classical sound”.  The group has played throughout Europe and Africa and continue to play in festivals throughout England and Ireland. Their second album “Pelican Crossing” is currently on general release.
They are now ‘doing’ the live gig and festival circuit, following the success of their album, and recent festival performances at the Cork Jazz Festival, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, and Greenbelt. They attend WOMEX, Spain in Oct, tour Cyprus and play at MEI, Italy in Nov.
