ECO-CELL Supports Local Darfur Fundraising Efforts

Louisville, KY – September 4, 2007 – On September 28, 2007 ECO-CELL, www.eco-cell.org, is proud to show its support for the people of Darfur.  As part of the Louisville concert event, Darfur at Dusk, ECO-CELL announced today that it is an official sponsor.  

The benefit concert for the people of Darfur will take place at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center from 6pm – 11pm on September 28th.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Refugee Committee International (ARC), which provides life-saving services to 400,000 people in the rural Nyala-Gareida and Nyala-Tulus corridors of South Darfur, with a significant portion of their aid earmarked for women and children.

ECO-CELL has supported the event by providing a cash donation to help with the operational needs of the concert. Additionally, ECO-CELL has organized cell phone recycling bins to be located at the concert as well as on the trolley.  ECO-CELL has committed to donating all cell phone recycling proceeds from phones collected in association with the Darfur at Dusk concert to the ARC.

Darfur at Dusk’s musical lineup will please concertgoers with a wide variety of artists and styles.  Confirmed artists include Louisville’s very own Love Jones, Johnny Berry, King Kong and Minnow.
