Beverly Baskin Receives Women in Business Award from Triangle Business Journal
Beverly Baskin, president and CEO of the BBB of Eastern NC has been named a 2007 Women in Business Award winner by Triangle Business Journal. The award recognizes Baskin, her involvement with the community, professional success and leadership.
Each year, the prestigious Women in Business Awards program honors 25 influential Triangle businesswomen, as well as one lifetime achievement award winner.
“It is an honor to receive this award along with some of North Carolina’s most respected and influential women,” said Baskin. “The BBB is founded on the principles of conducting business with integrity and ethics, qualities found within all of the women presented with this award.”
“Once again we are honoring an incredible group of accomplished women,” said Charlene Grunwaldt, Triangle Business Journal publisher. “The Triangle has a very active, impressive and successful community of professional women.”
As president and CEO of BBBENC, Baskin serves as community spokesperson and oversees daily operations, business strategy and consumer solutions for the non-profit agency. Since joining the BBB of Eastern North Carolina in 1999, she has implemented multiple programs and services to benefit the community, and doubled membership. Baskin also is currently serving as interim CEO of the BBB in Columbia, South Carolina where she opened the doors to the new office as founding director in 1983.
Triangle Business Journal will publish an in-depth special section on the 2007 Women in Business Awards in its August 31 edition that will feature profiles of all 26 winners and highlights of the event.
