July 24, 2007 - PRLog -- PANDUIT™ introduces the DPoE™ Compact 8 Midspan, a powerful new design that allows up to three units to fit across a single rack space for scalability in small-to-medium Power Over Ethernet (PoE) deployments. The DPoE™ Compact 8 Midspan joins the family of 12-port and 24-port DPoE™ Power Patch Panels that deliver reliable, cost effective PoE.
The DPoE™ Compact 8 Midspan readily integrates into existing networks and offers Gigabit Ethernet performance. Enhanced power capability delivers 30 Watts of power to support next generation PoE powered device demands. The DPoE™ Compact 8 Midspan is engineered to operate from a DC power source, which provides better efficiency and heat dissipation than AC based solutions.
The included software monitors and manages power consumption for each port, offering secure management via SNMPv3 and optional integration with the HP Open View network management platform.
“Customers seeking a scalable, modular solution for their Power over Ethernet system need the robust design of the DPoE™ Compact 8 Midspan to power network devices that support critical business applications,” emphasised John McNally, Vice President of Business Development, PANDUIT.
The DPoE™ Compact 8 Midspan is supported with several accessories, including a wall mount bracket, a 1RU shelf and a passive 8 port module.
