June 14, 2007 - PRLog -- “Super Set II”, the long awaited album of original tracks, will be released by Aardvark Records on 22 June 2007. Yahel has described the album as his pride and joy. The ambassador of psytrance from Israel has re-created the magic of his live sets within the album’s ten tracks.  Collaborations on the project include the likes of Guy Zigdon, Blake Reary, Didrapest, Indra, Tammy Federman and Miri.

In response to declining worldwide singles sales, Aardvark Records announced that it would only be releasing the album while using digital downloads and ringtones as ‘virtual singles’.  The track “Ocean”, which features vocals from Tammy Federman, has proven a wildfire favourite with club and dance music radio DJs around the world. The song instantly charted on top DJ and Record pools like Masspool, Starfleet and Infamous Record Pool. Pre-release digital downloads sales have subsequently proven very healthy.

The video for “Ocean” has been a strong performer in international music video markets.  SBA Music, Nightlife Music, Promo Only, Screenplay Inc, bpm:tv, Footlocker In-store entertainment, Lady Footlocker In-store entertainment, DMX, Homechoice, the Persian Music Channel and numerous other music video broadcasters and music video pools have been enthusiastic supporters of the video, which mixes cutting edge digital animation technology with traditional studio shots. Online entertainment platforms such as ROO TV, Google Video, You Tube and AOL Video lead to the video being watched by over 20,000 people online within the first 24 hours of it appearing on the internet.

The album is a combination of influences old and new with the album veering in a slightly different direction than Yahel’s previous releases. The change in direction would appear to be meeting with approval.  The album racked up an impressive record number of listeners when it was released on the pioneering social music network website Last.fm. Platforms like Last.fm tie in perfectly with Yahel’s ethos and his sources of inspiration.  “My inspiration comes from the people,” Yahel says.  “What I see happening on dance floors and what I do as a DJ echoes in my own productions.  I see how people respond to music they love and I see them fight against songs they don’t connect to.  The scene has changed from when I first started DJing. People want to enjoy music more then fight it. It’s great seeing people enjoying and really getting the music that I’ve had such an amazing time producing.”

A pre-release US launch will be marked by a performance at The Factory in West Hollywood on 16 June. As part of the album’s official release in the UK, Yahel will be performing at the legendary Turnmills on 22 June at 10.30pm. He’ll be joined by DJs Sister Bliss, Marcel Woods and JFK.

After producing six artist albums, mixing three compilations, and releasing dozens of vinyls, Yahel has established himself as one of the most popular and talented trance and psytrance producers/DJ’s to have come from the Israeli Electronic scene. He has the unique distinction of being a rare artist who has been able to achieve critical and commercial success in the European Club scene as well as the Goa/Israeli Psy scene.

He is widely respected, and has found success with major labels like Sony/BMG and respected independents such as Black Hole, Cyber, Tsunami, and Fundamental. He has also collaborated with Konami and Namco, licensing his music for a variety of their video games. Recently Yahel’s music literally took to the air as El-Al began offering his DJ set on the in flight entertainment. His music has also found its way into the record bags of notable DJs such as Tiësto, PVD, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and many more. Yahel’s “Voyage” is still considered to be one of Tiësto’s classic tracks and is a staple in his live sets. Last year Yahel started his own record label For The People Music, and is excited to have signed the winner of the first ever Nokia Music Leader competition Guy Zigdon.
