Please support your local authors by coming by Hastings to purchase a signed copy of Indian Summer Harvest, which is set immediately after the Civil War in 1866 in the Pottsville, Russellville and Dardanelle areas of Arkansas.

In Indian Summer Harvest, two cultures brushed against each other—Indian and historic American—resulting in unforeseen events that embroiled Ezra and his wife, Beth of Crow Mountain, Arkansas in intrigue, mystery and finally in necessary, inescapable murder.

Read this story of two ordinary people who found they were not ordinary at all—but strangers with strengths and amazing sides to themselves they didn’t recognize; certainly not to the point of justifying murder! How could this happen?

“Indian Summer Harvest, a work of fiction set in Pope County, Arkansas, in the 1800's, holds the reader's attention with a fast-paced plot and provides interesting glimpses of the life styles and values of the past.”
     — Mrs. Joyce Dempsey, Professor of English, Arkansas Tech University (retired)

“Indian Summer Harvest is an immensely enjoyable reading experience.  With penetrating insight Etoile Sweeney captures beautifully the essence of early Arkansas agrarian life through the activities, relationships, and adventures of Ezra Haskell.  Vivid descriptions, colorful colloquialisms, and a continuously unfolding plot make Indian Summer Harvest very interesting reading.”
    — Dr. Freddy Green, Professor of Elementary Education, Arkansas Tech University (retired)
