Hindustan Zinc bags Teri Award for CSR

Hindustan Zinc has been the proud recipient of Second Prize Winner of TERI Corporate Social Responsibility Award for the year 2007 in recognistion of Corporate leadership for good corporate citizenship and sustainable initiatives amongst corporations. The prestigious TERI CSR Award was received by Mr. M.S. Mehta, (CEO - HZL) from Mr. P. Chidambaram, Hon'ble Finance Minister, Government of India on 23rd May, 2007 in a glittering function held at stein Auditorium, India Habitat Center, New Delhi. The award function was attended by the eminent personalities, Corporates, NGOs and bureaucrats of India.
HZL has been chosen from amongst over 120 applications received by TERI for Corporate Social Responsibility and Environment Excellence. The winners were selected after an intense screening process and field audit conducted by an 11 member jury chaired by Justice J.S. verma, also former Chairperson of NHRC. HZL has been conferred this prestigious award for its commendable efforts and exemplary contributions in the field of Model Village Development Initiatives.
