Follow on Google News | Largest Broomball National Championships Ever Held in Blaine, MinnesotaUSA Broomball hosts its National Championships March 30 – April 1, 2007 at the Schwan’s Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. 42 broomball teams from nine states are participating in the largest indoor broomball tournament in the country.
By: USA Broomball “USA Broomball is very excited to host its largest tournament to date at the Super Rink. We hope all the players have a great time and people come to watch the best teams in the country play broomball,” said Kevin Denesen, president of USA Broomball. Games begin Friday night at 5:00 pm and run through Sunday afternoon. “Our national tournament director, Dave St. Aubin, has put together a great schedule so people can watch the upper level teams play and have fun on Friday and Saturday night,” said Denesen. Fun activities have been planned all weekend for the players. The Grand Rios, host hotel of the event, has planned a social for Friday night at their Beach House Bar and Grill. Time Out, the host restaurant and bar, has planned a Saturday night party complete with the Coors Light Girls. Admission to the tournament is free for spectators. USA Broomball,a non-profit organization, is the only broomball organization recognized by the International Federation of Broomball Associations. Its purpose is to promote a safe and organized form of broomball throughout the United States. Since 1999 it has provided playing opportunities and events.
