iUniverse Author to Appear on Joan Hamburg Show

NEW YORK (Jan. 16, 2007) — Leslie Lipton, author of Unwell, can be heard today on The Joan Hamburg Show (WOR AM). Lipton, who was also recently featured in The New York Post, is herself a recovering anorexic who tells the story of a teen led astray by the allure of thinness, beauty, and the potential power of those qualities to change her life.

Unwell is a powerful psychological journey into the world of eating disorders. Written in a perspective and voice not often encountered, it is Lipton’s hope that this book will sober some, enlighten others and ultimately, inspire all.

“Lipton's Unwell is extremely well-written and invites the reader into the candid journey of an eating disordered girl,” said Lynn Grefe, CEO, National Eating Disorders Association. “This is a valuable read for parents as they try to understand this complicated illness from the inside out.”

The Joan Hamburg Show is a nationally syndicated radio program based in New York City. Hamburg has been covering the scene as a journalist and broadcaster for many years, and is known throughout the country for her award-winning consumer affairs reporting. She interviews "A-list" Hollywood and Broadway celebrities, political newsmakers and best-selling authors, while exploring the latest in medical advances, careers and family.
