NextStep’s Springfield ReUse Store and Teen Challenge Thrift Store are teaming up Friday, Nov. 27 to present “Green Friday” (commonly referred to as “Black Friday”).

NextStep Recycling, Springfield Public Library, and M.E.C.C.A. (Material Exchange Center for Community Arts) are joining forces in celebrating ARD. Join us at the Springfield Public Library, 5th St & B St. in City Hall, on Sat, Nov 14 from 12 - 4pm.

Effective January 1, 2010 computers, monitors and TVs CANNOT be disposed of in the garbage or at disposal sites such as landfills, transfer stations and incinerators. Recycle these items FREE at NextStep Recycling.

NextStep Recycling recently hired Diana Barkelew, CPA as Finance Manager, Melissa Mattick as Finance Assistant and Mikayle Anderson as the new Marketing Manager.

All Proceeds Help Fund NextStep Programs

NextStep Recycling announced today that due to increased costs, EPS block foam (commonly referred to as Styrofoam) will no longer be accepted at their Eugene, OR recycling facility beginning July 1, 2009.

Eugene, OR- On March 28 & 29 the 30th Anniversary Tour of the 1978 Tony Award Winning Best Musical, “Ain’t Misbehavin”, will be performing at the Hult Center in Eugene.

Springfield, OR- NextStep Recycling, Willamette Valley's largest non-profit electronic refurbisher/recycler, will be holding its grand opening celebration for its new Springfield Donation Depot and ReUSE Store on Friday, February 27th 2009

Feb 7th, 2009 3:00 to 5:00 PM: Heritage Courtyard at Oakway Center, Eugene, OR, Mike Grudzien will perform 5,555 “crunches” (sit ups) to raise $55,555 for donation to 5 charities.

NextStep Recycling, a nationally recognized non-profit computer refurbishing and recycling center which refurbishes used technology to provide computers, education, and job skills training to marginalized populations, was burglarized Dec. 14, 2008.

NextStep Recycling has been selected as the only reuse and recycling nonprofit in central Oregon that is participating in the free statewide electronics recycling legislation.
