MIAMI - Oct. 19, 2020 - PRLog -- Composer-Keyboardist, Tom Alexander, is releasing his sixth studio album, "Dreams In Blue," on October 23, 2020 via digital download. The music was written specifically for his son, Peter Alexander's last three award-winning films, "The Centenarian," "Walkin' the Way," and "The Last Weekend".

Alexander earned a Cosmic Film Festival Award for Best Musical Score for his work on "The Centenarian" in 2018.

"Collaborating with my son is a dream come true," Alexander said. "His unique cinematic vision is an inspiration and motivates me to think of music I normally would never conceive of without the visual component to drive me. It's a very different discipline from writing for my band, but equally rich and rewarding."

Alexander has been writing and performing music professionally for more than 35 years. From his earliest days composing and leading or co-leading fusion jazz bands like Aphelion and World Is to his work on CBS Sports Radio's late 90s sports-comedy hybrid, The Drive, his jingle work for Mike's Hard Lemonade, film scoring, and performing with his current group, Earth Code, the keyboardist cites rock, jazz, fusion, classical, world music and film scores as his biggest influences. Alexander is also a voice actor, broadcaster, screenwriter and most recently, the host of multiple popular podcasts including the RV Advisor Podcast, Work In Progress, a show he co-hosts with writer, Charles Epstein, and the Jazz Rocks Podcast co-hosted by jazz author, Walter Kolosky.

"Peter pushed me not only to score his films' scenes, but to write songs for the characters to sing in his latest movie, "The Last Weekend," Alexander added. "It was a welcome challenge, and Lucas Blando and Kayla Smith did an incredible job on the vocals and added so much to the songs."

"Dreams In Blue" was produced by Alexander and Emilio Martinez. The album will be available to download beginning Friday, October 23rd at iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Google Play, Deezer, Tidal, and most other major digital music stores.
