Follow on Google News | Eliminate The Unnecessary So That The Necessary May ScatRaw and jazzy with a deep smokey swing, drum and bass 40's style
By: Soundman Third i return with a new release entitled 'Stone Of Destiny' and are about to hit the road for their first UK tour, with dates lined up at Jazz Cafe London, Arts Club Liverpool and Rocket Club Birmingham. The outfit came to life in 2018, drawing from the members' shared love for all things bass, jazz, and hard. They've shared stages with the likes of Soundman, Point Of Contact and Hi Fi Power, and their debut single Open has had a rework and features on the new Ray Keith album with additional vocals from Floyd Dyce of Baby D, Stone Of Destiny, is their most focused and deep material yet! On this cut Third i sets the pace, with a rolling heavy 12 bar double bass-line that runs against a jazz ride cymbal deep kick and tight snare, whilst the female vocals scat with harmony on the track effortlessly. 'Stone Of Destiny' is a smokey mesmeric take on the sound of the 40's with dramatic and energetic drums. Opening with sparse vocals which scat across the inter planetary alignment of Charleston styled strings, which drops into the very heavy drum and bass.
