Ultius Announces the Launch of the SEED Scholarship

WILMINGTON, Del. - May 30, 2018 - PRLog -- Ultius is proud to announce the launch of the SEED Scholarship. The SEED Scholarship is the first scholarship ever awarded by the American online software platform. The scholarship is designed to help an underprivileged student pay for their higher education.

The scholarship was named "SEED" to reflect the acronym: Supplementing the Eradication of Education Debt. SEED is a $2,000.00 academic scholarship awarded to one deserving underprivileged undergraduate student. To be eligible, students must be:

-Enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student for 2018-2019 semester at an accredited two or four-year college or university
-A Pell grant recipient based on familial financial need
-A U.S. citizen
-An accomplished student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (weighted)

Ultius is proactively taking action for a cause it believes in with this scholarship initiative. The SEED Scholarship is in line with the technology company's commitment to eliminate student loan debt.

In 2017, the Institute for Higher Education Policy found lower and middle-class students cannot afford to go 1 in 5 of colleges in the US without taking out student loans. As a result, 44 million Americans have accumulated over $1.3 trillion in student loan debt. As the cost of higher education rises, student loan debt continues to climb past $1.4 trillion.

Ultius stands with students and believes they should be able to obtain their education without going into major debt. The hope is to plant a seed with this scholarship to grow into a stronger initiative, exterminate student loan debt, and help cultivate the future innovators of America.
