NEWARK, N.J. - June 16, 2016 - PRLog -- Oneder, a leading provider of special education management technology, today announced the appointment of two new members to its education advisory board: Dr. Alice Parker and Dr. Alexa Posny. These distinguished individuals bring decades of expertise in federal and state level education policy, administration, district management and classroom instruction.

Dr. Parker will serve as the Chair of Oneder's Advisory Board, bringing more than 45 years of experience in the educational community, including her role as assistant superintendent of public instruction for California and president of the National Association of State Directors of special education (NASDSE). For the past 8 years, Dr. Parker has been tasked with leading school improvement projects, providing technical assistance, and consulting services for education reform to state and district leaders throughout the country.

According to Dr. Parker, one of the biggest challenges facing students with special needs is meeting high level nation-wide academic standards. "I'm very excited to be joining the team at Oneder to help educators and their special needs students achieve success with their individual, standards-based goals using Oneder's personalized learning platform," she explained.

Dr. Posny was chosen by President Barack Obama to serve as Assistant Secretary of the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) in the U.S. Department of Education, where she played a key role in policy and management issues affecting special education and rehabilitative services for students across the country, after serving in a similar capacity as Director of the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) under the Bush administration. Dr. Posny brings four decades of experience in the field of education, which includes her early role as a classroom teacher and her more recent position as Commissioner of Education with the Kansas State Department of Education.

"Alice and Alexa bring more than knowledge and experience to the Advisory Board," explained Eliaz Shapira, Oneder's CEO. "Their tireless advocacy for students with special needs throughout their careers and success in advancing inclusive practices throughout the nation will help Oneder continue to promote successful outcomes for the students who need it most."
