Global VRS Continues to Expand Services for The Deaf and Hard of Hearing

ORLANDO, Fla. - Dec. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Global VRS/ASL Services Holdings, LLC, headquartered in Kissimmee, FL, announces the opening of their newest interpreting center in Long Beach, California (The Long Beach Interpreting Center [LBIC]). Formally known as Gracias VRS, Global VRS has led the industry in providing video relay services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) while accommodating for communication differences related to culture, language, and other unique needs of the D/HH community.

The Long Beach Interpreting Center will provide additional services for the thousands of D/HH consumers who use Global VRS’ interpreter services to make phone calls every day. Gabrielle Joseph, Global VRS’ VP of operations, states, “While our expansion into another west-coast call center is a testament to the increasing community use of Global VRS’ caller friendly and community-minded VRS calls, we are not stopping with LBIC. We have an incredible need for our unique diversity sensitive services that we are continuing to fill,” as she describes Global VRS' plans to open yet another interpreting center in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.

The pending opening Rio Piedras Interpreting Center will be housed near the vibrant metro-area of San Juan, Puerto Rico. “This will allow us not only the opportunity to bring more jobs to the community of Puerto Rico, but it will also afford us the unique ability to recruit additional linguistically diverse interpreters, who will be able to provide interpretation services to Latino/Latino D/HH consumers situated here in the USA that come from around the world,” explains Gabrielle Joseph.
