Terry Sacka Explains How The Silk Road Economic Belt Could Lead To The Death Of The Petrodollar

WAKE FOREST, N.C. - Dec. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- The US pursues its interests through the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership, while China’s focus is on the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific but also on the more ambitious “One Belt, One Road” strategy.

This is a contemporary version of the old Silk Road, comprising financial and investment initiatives to spur economic and infrastructure development in the land mass between Western China, Western Asia and countries with South China Sea and Indian Ocean coasts.

He opened with the statement, "We as a nation have become incredibly arrogant, before we were doing it because we could push them (China, Russia, Iran) around, they weren't as organized, were Communist, even sloppy...they've put themselves together and gotten dressed up. They learned how to be organized from us. The East is focusing on a cooperation dominated without the dollar."

China’s Silk Road Economic Belt project is aimed at tying China with European and Middle Eastern markets and manifested in cross-border trade agreements, joint infrastructure projects, and other forms of high-level economic and cultural exchange. Russia and China have recently signed a number of energy, trade and finance deals aimed at strengthening economic ties.

The two countries have multiple mutual projects which “achieved a unity of views on a wide range of issues.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping have signed a decree on cooperation in tying the development of the Eurasian Economic Union with the "Silk Road” economic project.

“The integration of the Eurasian Economic Union and Silk Road projects means reaching a new level of partnership and actually implies a common economic space on the continent," Putin said after the meeting with his Chinese counterpart.
