Author Dan Gediman and several contributors will sign copies of inspiring book On Friday, December 11 at 6:00 p.m. the Bensalem Barnes & Noble will host a book signing event for This I Believe: Philadelphia. This I Believe is an international non-profit organization engaging people in writing and sharing essays describing the core values that guide their daily lives. The project is based on the popular 1950s radio series of the same name, hosted by Edward R. Murrow. More than 125,000 of these essays have been archived on their website, thisibelieve.org. This new book contains 30 essays that originally aired as part of WHYY’s local This I Believe series in 2009-2010, and 30 essays from Edward R. Murrow’s original radio series, which began as a local Philadelphia program on WCAU. Author Dan Gediman will be discussing his book and signing copies. Special guests, Peggy Fagan, Brett Mandel, and Mark Mobley, will be reading their essays from the inspirational title This I Believe: Philadelphia.
