DENVER - Nov. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- The solar power industry continues its growth in Colorado but the number of companies providing services to home owners has been decreasing. Bucking this trend is one of Colorado’s largest solar energy companies, Denver-based EcoMark Solar (http://www.ecomarksolar.com).

Today, EcoMark Solar has more than 80 employees and is continuing to expand along the Front Range, from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins. What is different about EcoMark from other solar companies?

“We put our customers first by selling them the solar energy system rather than leasing, which can help raise their property values,” explains Alex Valdez, EcoMark Solar CEO/President. “From the beginning, we hired knowledgeable salespeople to help educate our customers about the benefits of going solar and to help with financing if needed.

“We’re a closed source company in the respect that we create our own sales leads,” Valdez continues. “We talk to potential customers at local trade shows, walk door-to-door in neighborhoods, and provide a website with a wealth of information. With energy costs going up each year, we show home owners how they can save money now and into the future—even without government subsidies for installing solar. In Colorado, energy rates have been rising about six percent annually.”

EcoMark designs and installs systems free of third party interference and encumbrance so if the homeowner decides to sell their home, no lease transfer is needed. “The real estate industry is learning that purchased solar systems add value to a home for sale but a leased system may be detrimental if the buyers don’t want to take on a long-term lease,” Valdez explains.

“Everyone benefits from increased use of solar,” Valdez adds. “When enough people spend their money to go solar, they reduce the public utilities’ need to build expensive generation resources and purchase the power to fuel them.”
