By: Bakwena As custodians of the N1N4 toll, Bakwena uses its relationships with government and industry stakeholders to help uplift communities along the route. By forging working relationships with government departments and engaging in partnerships with industry stakeholders and local social reform bodies, Bakwena is able to assist public and private institutions working towards social upliftment by helping to run educational events and programmes for disadvantaged individuals around road safety, life skills, environmental awareness and entrepreneurial development. Thusanang Early Learning Centre, Pink Drive, Wheel Well, CANSA, Laudium Cansa Care were selected as beneficiaries of the funds raised by this year’s golf day. Charmaine van Wyk, spokesperson for Bakwena, says, “The success of this golf day can be attributed to the support received from our stakeholders.
