She’s had memorable performances in Goodfellas, Cape Fear, Alive, Grace of My Heart, Picture Perfect, and Ghost World. Current films include She's Funny That Way directed by Peter Bogdanovitch and Growth Spurt directed by Kevin Pollak. Illeana received an Emmy nomination as Angela on Six Feet Under. She’s had recurring roles on Ugly Betty, Entourage, Chasing Life and Welcome to Sweden.

Illeana is an accomplished writer/producer having created pilots Confessions of a Movie Lover for the IFC Network, Illeanarama for the Oxygen Network, and Celebrity Garage Sale for the A&E Network. She created the multi award winning web series Easy to Assemble for IKEA as well as executive produced films Life Without Dick, Kingdom Come, Chez Upshaw. She is the executive producer and costars in the web-series The Skinny (2015)

Illeana is currently the host of Turner Classic Movies series Trailblazing Women. She also hosted the Friday Night Spotlight Series Second Looks. As part of the TCM Family she’s interviewed luminaries like Jerry Lewis, Richard Dreyfuss, Agnes Varda, Gena Rowlands, and Eva Marie Saint.
