JK Business School: Learning Entrepreneurship Mantras from Business Captains

GURGAON, India - Nov. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- JK Business School (JKBS) Gurgaon, one of the premier business schools in the country, organised a unique  ​"Training Programme on Entrepreneurship” today at ​their campus located at Damdama Lake Road, off Sohna Expressway, Gurgaon. Eminent speakers,​  Mr. Hashan Haputhanthari, Head-TVS Motors, Sri Lanka, Mr. Vikas Khanduri, Founder and MD - Viva Voyages Pvt. Ltd  and eminent educationist Dr Kirti Dutta conducted the training sessions on entrepreneurship, marketing and business plans for start ups.

The session started with an introduction on entrepreneurship by Mr. Vikas Khanduri followed by two sessions by Mr. Hashan Haputhanthari.During his sessions on Marketing Management for Start Ups. Mr Haputhanthari shared widely from his vast experience in marketing and brand management and provided an insider’s point of view on one of the most crucial business functions for start ups. He also emphasised on the ‘I can’ attitude for success.

During this occasion, Mr. Hashan Haputhanthari, Head-TVS Motors, Sri Lanka, said that the mantra for success is taking risks and learning from experiences that we gather from failures.

Dr Kirti Dutta shared the secrets of a successful business plan. She is a co-editor of a book on entrepreneurship published by Centre of Education Growth & Research (CEGR), New Delhi. She is also the author of a chapter on business plans, in this book. She has also authored two other books on marketing management. Dr Dutta  made the making of business plans interesting and easily comprehendible by the young managers in the making.

JKBS has launched this ambitious, mega initiative in collaboration with CEGR, to inspire and encourage future entrepreneurs amongst its students. The 30 hours programme that will be conducted in five days over a course of time, will strive to offer insights into entrepreneurship, its challenges and rewards. It is a part of the Advanced Certificate in Entrepreneurship Skills to be awarded by CGER, for students of JKBS. Several eminent speakers, entrepreneurs and corporate bigwigs will make their presence felt during the program and share experiences and knowledge with the students.

He spoke of the changing trends in marketing and marketing communication and advised the students to remain abreast of technology- enabled modes of wide reach, especially with young consumers.
