New Lower iPhone 6 Prices Announced

HILLSBORO, Ore. - Nov. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Purchasing any new iPhone from Apple will cost a good deal especially when the smartphone has no long term 2 year contract tied to it. It’s tempting to obtain any new iPhone with a long term contract or a monthly payment plan along with a phone subscription but the monthly costs can easily end up reaching nearly $100 per month. As Ting lead the way in offering contract free smartphone offers others have followed suit in matching similar offers such as Sprint and T-Mobile. Price should not be the only factor and calling the Ting support number with an average hold time of just seconds is quite a rarity in the telecommunications industry for sure. Ting has been able to offer iPhones for some time and even though they have provided the iPhone 6 for some time, it can now be had just over $500 along with the Ting coupon.

The iPhone 6s is just over $600 but after a few months go by, that price will drop as newer models approach their launch date. Some experts advise avoiding the non-S models but that is up to the consumer to determine what their specific needs are. Reason being that the S-models tend to have some more and improved features/hardware for the same price as the non-S models original release date. Having the latest does tend to cost more than the last model or last year’s model. The iPhone 5 is now (November, 2015) available for around $250. That’s a huge savings compared to the original launch date on September 2012 for a whopping $649 without contract, and $199 with a 2 year contract. The iPhone 6’s original price tag was $649 on September 2014 and the following year has dropped about $100.

On average iPhones tend to drop in price at around $100 per year but this price can be skewered due to refurbished iPhones hitting the market as well as used ones. However, other issues to consider besides purchasing older iPhones is compatibility with newer software as well as the main OS that comes with all the iPhones. A good example is the Apple iWatch that will only work with iPhones 5’s and later. That means any iPhone that is a 4s or older will not work with the Apple iWatch at all.

Prices listed with Ting at the time of this article are showing prices for new iPhone 6’s and not refurbished or used iPhones (http://ting.7eer.net/c/69267/76893/2020) which can lower costs significantly. There is always the temptation to purchase the newest phone available but the price in the long term throughout the year will cost significantly more. What cellphone users have to be aware of is the long term cost of a smartphone, not just the first payment.

As always, Ting has a feature to make sure that whatever iPhone you purchase from anywhere, you can check and make sure that it will work with the Ting carrier network. Otherwise you may be stuck having to use certain carriers only and not able to break out of it. It’s not always necessary to have to purchase a new phone if moving to a provider such as Ting. Many times you can keep your current smartphone, especially if you purchased one without contract and don’t want to have to buy another expensive iPhone.
