Black Creek Awarded Security System Upgrade for Bermuda’s Westgate Prison

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Nov. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Black Creek has been awarded a contract to upgrade the Touchscreen Control security system and digital video display for Westgate Correctional Facility located in Sandys Parish, Bermuda. Black Creek has been working with the Bermudian Government since 1994.

Westgate Correctional Facility is one of the four main correctional facilities on the islands of Bermuda. It has the capacity to hold about 200 prisoners in maximum-, medium-, and minimum-security conditions.

Black Creek will be replacing the three touchscreen consoles with new 32’’ Super Display® Touchscreen consoles. The current CCTV display system will be upgraded to Black Creek’s latest digital video product.

The system upgrade will make security control easier and save the facility money in the long run by eliminating maintenance costs and increasing staff efficiency. Each Super Display® Touchscreen station will feature an LCD monitor that display all the facility’s security controls and a CCTV camera call-up and video display. An officer can easily track inmates and pull up their information, select different camera viewpoints, control facility utilities, and more.
