Goodwill DONATE-A-THON Celebrates NEW YEAR’S EVE--LAST CHANCE TO GIVE BACK & GET A TAX BREAK

Goodwill Throws New Year’s Eve December 31st Block Party to Celebrate, Fund Job Training Programs to help people with a second chance, and Thank Donors

WHO:          Goodwill CEO Maureen Sedonaen, Community Leaders, Goodwill donors benefiting from that last minute 2015 tax break, Goodwill Donation Ambassadors, Goodwill Staff, San Francisco Boys’ Chorus, Live Band and more

WHAT:          Goodwill Donate-a-thon Highlights

* Goodwill Donate-a-thon thanks donors who give throughout the year and during Donate-a-thon. As a result of donations Goodwill placed more than 650 people in local jobs this year, creating a dignified path out of poverty for people in need.

* Goodwill Donate-a-thon Donors will be treated to live music, entertainment, and SF Zoo and movie ticket giveaways as a “thank you” for supporting Goodwill’s job training and placement programs for local people in need of a second chance.

*Goodwill Donate-a-thon is a celebration of over 25 million pounds of materials diverted from local landfills.

*Goodwill Donate-a-thon at Goodwill’s Mission Street donation drop is a donation sensation party on the busiest donation day of the year.

*Donating to Goodwill on New Year’s Eve Day is becoming an annual tradition for families.

WHERE:          Goodwill Truck Yard at 1500 Mission Street

(On Mission Street     between 10th and 11th streets)


WHEN:          New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31st 2015 from 7am-5pm
The last day of the year to get a tax receipt for donated goods.
