Local Orthodontist is Spreading Smiles for Children in Need this Holiday Season

Nov. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- The holiday season is upon us. As an active participant in the community, local orthodontist Rael Bernstein wants to spread even more smiles through new community service initiatives.

Bernstein Orthodontics, an orthodontic practice in Santa Rosa and Windsor, has launched two programs to benefit kids in the community this year.

Last year, the practice launched its annual Toy Drive with a new twist. Any person who donated a toy to their office, received a free clear retainer. Because of the success of the toy drive last year, the practice has decided to launch the same program again this year.

“We were amazed at how many toys we were able to collect by giving participants this reward last year. It’s truly a win-win for everyone involved. Participants receive a free retainer while also showing goodwill and compassion, we get to collect toys for kids and of course the kids benefit from the toys we receive,” says Dr. Rael Bernstein.

The practice will be accepting toys that meet the Toys for Tots guidelines in exchange for a free retainer from now until December 11^th at their Santa Rosa and Windsor offices. To participate, the practice is asking the community to register at www.bernsteinbraces.com/toydrive. Participants do not need to be current patients of Bernstein Orthodontics.

Another goodwill initiative Bernstein Orthodontics is participating in this year is an “Adopt a Child” program with Child Protective Services in Sonoma County. Through this program, each staff member has adopted a child in foster care to donate Christmas gifts to.  The children, ages 1 to 16, wrote wish lists for Christmas and it’s up to the team at Bernstein Orthodontics to fulfill the lists.

“We’re so excited to participate in the Adoption Program this year. After all we’re in the business of spreading smiles. What better way to do that this holiday season?” explains Kelsey Turrini, Director of Marketing at Bernstein Orthodontics.
