Nov. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Shanna Miller, senior managerial marketing major at Kent State University, flew to Los Angeles to participate in the final round of case presentations for a marketing position in Red Bull’s Graduate Program.

“It was a great hands-on experience,” said Miller. “During the internship phase I had hoped to become an asset to their company by working on projects and presentations that contributed to their business plan, and that’s exactly what propelled me to the final round.”

Last summer, Miller competed against other students for an intern position in Santa Monica, Calif., by presenting a business case to Red Bull. Miller was selected and given the opportunity to work at Red Bull as a brand marketing intern. Along with her body of work as an intern to be selected for the Graduate Program she was also required to go through personality and analytical tests, along with digital interviews.

“I’m very proud of Shanna’s accomplishments,” said Pamela Grimm, Ph.D., associate professor in the Marketing and Entrepreneurship Department at the College of Business Administration. “It’s especially satisfying to see that the quality of our students is recognized by national and international companies like Red Bull. Our students are competing against students from some of the best schools in the world, and winning!”

Red Bull’s Graduate Program is designed to provide recent college graduates with the opportunity to prove their capability through on-the-job experiences, feedback , networking and formal training. Eligible applicants are required to have proven excellence in their academic life in a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduated on or after 2013, fluent in written and spoken English and a track record of success from internships or other relevant work experiences.
