On November 10, Emterra was presented the 2015 EcoStar Award in the Climate Action category at an awards gala at the Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria, British Columbia. The EcoStar Awards (http://www.recyclingproductnews.com/ From deploying refuse fleets that utilize low-emission emitting compressed natural gas (CNG) to leveraging the most advanced sorting technology at their material recovery facilities to introducing single stream recycling programs to increase participation – Emterra continues to innovate. Emterra recently unveiled a brand new compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling station and fleet in Victoria, British Columbia to serve residential and commercial customers in the Capital Regional District. By replacing its diesel fleet with CNG powered refuse trucks, Emterra is reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20%.
