Yet Another Massage Envy Spa Employee Arrested for Sexual Assault

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Nov. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Despite the Massage Envy franchise’s insistence that all franchisees complete thorough reference and background checks before hiring, yet another employee was arrested for an alleged sexual assault on a customer. This time, a Henrico County, VA, Massage Envy employee – Daeshawn Bullard – was arrested for Forcible Object Sexual Penetration which allegedly occurred during a massage on a female customer. Although Massage Envy issued a statement that they “take these allegations very seriously” and have since fired Bullard, these actions immediately following an arrest of an employee are not enough to gloss over long standing policies that foster a nationwide culture.

A PA criminal complaint filed this year alleges that massage therapist James Deiter molested a female victim at the Massage Envy Spa in West Goshen, and the story’s media attention encouraged several other victims to step forward. After his arrest, Deiter provided police with the names of several more victims he assaulted in the spa. In another recent criminal complaint, Massage Envy employee Marcus James Stevenson was accused of sexual assault in Columbia, SC. Police have so far been unable to locate the massage therapist. Any additional victims are urged to contact police.
