ONTARIO, Calif. - Nov. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) hosted the 108th Holy Convocation in St. Louis November 2-9 with more than 40,000 delegates in attendance. As a special guest of Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake Sr., Mr. Al Hollingsworth was greeted with open arms as he shared his vision for the Aldelano Solar ColdBox™ (http://www.solarcoldbox.com) and the complementary technology of extracting water from the air by the companion Aldelano Solar WaterMaker™. During the week-long event, Hollingsworth had the opportunity to ignite the flame of hope and life offered by this exciting breakthrough addressing the convocation’s General Council of Pastors & Elders, the Presiding Bishops’ Forum and the Annual National Missions Breakfast which was attended by more than 300 international delegates from 17 countries. Many of the leaders had the opportunity to personally experience a demonstration of the new technology and left excited about all the benefits and features it can offer to people around the world.

In addition to a very demanding schedule of speaking engagements and meetings, Mr. Hollingsworth was also interviewed on the CBS affiliated radio station in St. Louis, featured on the WORD television network and conducted a live interview on the COGIC live stream during the Saturday evening service that reached millions across the globe.

Moved by the event’s message of change from Bishop Blake and COGIC president of world missions, Bishop Vincent E. Matthews Jr., Al and his wife Hattie opened their generous arms to the movement of global change by offering a Solar ColdBox™ for placement in Haiti as part of their missions outreach program. “I am pleased to share a Solar ColdBox™ with COGIC to be placed in underserved communities beginning in January 2016, reaching people who don’t have access to clean drinking water, refrigeration or renewable energy. This is what I have dreamed about, and I am so excited to see it become a reality today”

Hollingsworth founded the Aldelano Corporation (http://www.aldelano.com) in 1968 and has since grown the company to be a national leader in customized assembly packaging and warehouse services with operations nationwide. The Aldelano Solar ColdBox™ is the company’s answer to the problems of extensive food waste and water shortage. In business and in ministry, Al and Hattie have been solving problems for decades, leading by example, and training the next generation. B.O.S.S. the Movement (http://www.bossthemovement.com/) is one such endeavor providing a monthly adult leadership-training program culminating in several intensive days of vision casting, motivation, and fellowship.

Presiding Bishop Blake was one of the many who experienced the Aldelano Solar ColdBox™ first hand and was grateful for Hollingsworth’s participation in this groundbreaking mission effort. The unit is an industrial-grade, portable, solar-powered cold storage mini-warehouse that provides not only refrigeration/freezing capacity and completely renewable auxiliary power source, but also water and ice production when paired with the optional Aldelano Solar WaterMaker™ and Aldelano Solar IceMaker™.

Experts estimate that 40% of the developing world’s food supply is wasted, much of it because cold storage is not available. “On a national and a local scale, what separates the ‘haves’ from the ‘have nots’ is often their access to dependable infrastructure—electricity, clean water, refrigeration. The Aldelano Solar ColdBox™ was created as an alternative to this missing or unreliable infrastructure that crippling communities in the developing world,” Hollingsworth says.

Hunger is just one of many problems linked to failed infrastructure. Worldwide, water-related diseases claim the lives of one out of every five children under age the age of five. The optional Aldelano Solar WaterMaker™ generates up to fifty gallons of safe drinking water each day by extracting moisture from the air. This feature, combined with the Aldelano Solar IceMaker™ and the auxiliary power feature (included on every unit), makes the Aldelano Solar ColdBox™ an ideal solution for short-term disaster relief efforts and long-term community sustainability.

“We are excited about the new opportunities not only with COGIC, but several religious, non-profit and governmental organizations around the world,” Hollingsworth says. “Now is the time for people of faith to act. We hear the cries of hungry, sick, and desperate people, and we rise up to become part of the solution.”
