Miami’s IBT Group completes fifth Panama medical center, continuing global work building health facilities, infrastructure

MIAMI - Nov. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- IBT Group (http://www.ibtgroup.com/en), a global construction consortium based in Miami, has completed its fifth primary care medical center in Panama, as part of its continuing mission to provide health care and infrastructure to underserved areas around the world.

The new, $9.5-million Primary Care Center of Integral Health, known as MINSA-CAPSI (http://www.minsa.gob.pa/cartera-salud/minsa-capsi) of Pedasí, serves 4,600 residents in and around the Pacific coast town of Pedasí on the southeastern tip of the Azuela Peninsula in the Los Santos province.

The center is the fifth and final comprehensive medical facility IBT has built for Panama’s Ministry of Health to improve the nation’s health infrastructure. It includes facilities for childbirth, outpatient services, surgery, gynecology, dentistry, pediatrics, psychology, psychiatry and general medicine, as well as a laboratory and pharmacy. Advanced technology permits instant communication with specialists to provide results within hours, and the center includes classroom spaces for community health presentations.
