The Naples Players To Hold Auditions for Young Frankenstein

NAPLES, Fla. - Nov. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- NAPLES, FL- The Naples Players will hold auditions for Young Frankenstein, by appointment only from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 12 and from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday December 13 at Sugden Community Theatre, 701 5^th Avenue South, Naples.

From the genius mind of Mel Brooks, this electrifying musical comedy follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, his beguiling lab assistant, Inga, his hunchbacked side-kick, Igor, his mad-cap fiancé, Elizabeth and the enigmatic Frau Blucher as they succeed in bringing a monster to life, but not without dangerous and often hilarious consequences.  A big, blockbuster musical comedy that everyone will be talking about.

Four principal men are needed for this production, two ages 20’s to 40’s, one age 40’s to 50’s and one age 18+ played by a larger, tall actor. Two supporting male roles are also needed; one age 50 to 80’s and one age 30 to 50’s. Three principal women are needed; two ages 20’s to 40’s and one age 40 to 55.

Along with the principal and supporting roles, there is a large singing and dancing ensemble, including a skilled barbershop quartet. Those interested in the ensemble must have dance/movement abilities.

Rehearsals begin January 11, 2016.  Performance dates are March 2^nd to April 3^rd. There will be no performance on Easter Sunday, March 27^th.  Perusal scripts are available at the box office with a $20 deposit. The box office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

All that is required is the desire to be involved in a production and the willingness to commit time and effort to the project.
