SHIP BOTTOM, N.J. - Nov. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Holidays are special in the Long Beach Island Region of the Jersey Shore, and the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce believes it is a time for sharing. Take part in some traditions, new experiences and favorite treats as the season unfolds with a number of possibilities.

Dec 4  31rst Annual Rotary Holiday  Gift Auction at Sea Oaks Country Club in Little Egg Harbor. Door Prizes, Entertainment, live and silent auctions! Gourmet hor d’oeuvres, buffet and carving stations with open bar 6-9pm  $85 donation, for more information contact LBI Rotary at lbirotary.org

Dec 4 First Annual Surf City Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony – Gather at the Good Life Boutique 2200  Long Beach Blvd in Surf City as Santa arrives in his Fire Truck along with songs performed by the St Francis Children’s Choir, enjoy refreshments and photos with Santa! From 7 to 830pm

Dec 4 – Beach Haven Dine Around sponsored by Beach Haven Future beginning at 530pm. This four course progressive meal featured holiday dishes paired with regional beer or wine selections. $50 per person www.beachhavenfuture.com

Dec 4-6 Tuckerton Seaport’s Christkindlmarkt Friday 4pm to 8pm, Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm  $5 Admission 75 Craft & Gift vendors, traditional craft demonstrators, hot Gluhwein and Hot Cider Wine, Horse and Wagon Rides, and fabulous food 120 West Main St Tuckerton – tuckertonseaport.org

Dec 4-6 Christmas Under the Sea presented by Our Gang Players Join this spirited show at the Bengal Auditorium at Barnegat High School as the undersea gang brings out the holiday joy! Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday Dec 6 at 2pm $12 per ticket www.ourgangplayers.org

Dec 5 36th Annual Ship Bottom Christmas Parade -The 36th Annual Ship Bottom Christmas Parade is scheduled for December 5th, 2015 beginning at 1:00 p.m. along Long Beach Boulevard 5th Street to 25th Street

Dec 12 The Good Life Boutique host pet pictures with Santa at their shop in Surf City. $5 donations go to Friends of the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter to help pets have what they need for the holidays. Bring your favorite pooch and come out 930-11am

Running from Dec 1 to Dec 31 Tuckerton Seaport Festival of Trees provides complimentary admission to vote for your favorite tree. Come tour holiday trees decorated by local non profit organizations, each tree has a dedicated donation jar to vote for your favorite. All proceeds go to benefiting the non profits.

December 27 The Affair at Cedar Bridge at the Cedar Bridge Tavern Historic Site 200 Old Halfway Rd, Barnegat. Join the celebration of the last documented land battle of the Revolutionary War with this holiday re enactment of 1782 battle.

January 1 Food Trucks and Fireworks at the Tuckerton Seaport from 12-6pm, free admission
