Dr. Jack Piermatti Named President of Oral Implantology Group

VOORHEES, N.J. - Nov. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- Dr. Jack Piermatti, a prosthodontist and managing director of Dental Arts of South Jersey in Voorhees, has been named the new president of the American Board of Oral Implantology.  He has served on the ABOI’s board of directors since 2007, and is double board-certified as a Diplomate of the ABOI and The American Board of Prosthodontics.

Dr. Piermatti was installed as president during the annual conference of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the chief sponsor and industry action arm of the ABOI, held in Las Vegas Oct. 21-24, 2015.   The ABOI administers examinations for prosthodontists, periodontists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, and general practitioners who seek board certification.

“It’s an exceptional honor to be chosen as president of the ABOI,” said Dr. Piermatti.  “The board is directly responsible for maintaining the highest standards of oral implantology, so it is gratifying to be a part of that process.”

Dr. Piermatti, a resident of Voorhees, has surgically placed more than 17,500 dental implants during his career.  In 2010, he was named a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He is also an assistant professor of Prosthodontics and the director of the Dental Implant Maxicourse at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine.
