Official MTV Artists Silversel Announce New and Fine-tuned Lineup

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Nov. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- T&T Management and Booking Agency, LLC, announced today some notable additions to the much-heralded Metal Rock band, Silversel. Joining the bodacious band of brothers of Wally Silver (lead singer), Ricky Saldano (drums) and George Adkins (bass); are dueling guitarists Nick Shoaf and Randy Powell.

Nick Shoaf first donned an ax at the age of 13, crediting his uncle for the inspiration to play. He has spent the greater part of his musical career playing Death Metal, but is quick to point out that he admires all types of music and draws his inspirations from various genres. He cites his major influences as Alice in Chains, Ghost, Megadeth and Buckethead; with his favorite being extreme Metal acts--such as Black Dahlia Murder and All Shall Perish. His preference lies with Jackson and Ibanez guitars (fast necks!) and he plays through Engl amplifiers. He now brings his guitar prowess to Silversel and looks forward to lending his “dark side” to the mix!

Randy Powell knew he wanted to play Rock music at an early age when his sister gave him the “Billion Dollar Babies” album by Alice Cooper--she hated it, he loved it! Besides the pomp and glamour, the vivid visual images and the music loud and aggressive, what he really liked and was drawn to were the huge crunch sounds of the distorted guitar—which were literally music to his ears! He began playing guitar at age fourteen, cutting his musical teeth to Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Halen, Randy Rhoads--and many others. By seventeen he was playing cover tunes in the local area bar scene. He was touring in the late 80's/early 90's playing Hair Metal. He has been chasing this dream for a very long time, but now feels he has now found a group of kindred spirits and with Silversel…he will realize that dream.

While carving their own niche into the ever-changing world of music, Silversel’s high energy and entertaining shows have afforded them the opportunity to support some of the greatest names in Rock--including era members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Firefall, Pure Prairie League, Jimmie Van Zant, Pat Travers, Ghost Riders and Molly Hatchet…to name a few.

Silversel’s undeniably unique music--which they refer to as “Swamp Metal”--has received some pretty prestigious notice. They were on the short list of consideration for their song “Heard It All Before” (from their CD “Where Angels Dare”)--whittled down from thousands by the Recording Academy for the 56^th Grammys. Silversel is currently promoting their latest single releases, “Dead and Gone”, “Icarus” and “All Outta Rocks” from their critically-acclaimed album, “Battlegrounds”—with both “Icarus” and “All Outta Rocks” have garnered top placements on the National Airplay Charts in 2015. Silversel additionally graced the April 2015 cover of the global publication ION Indie Magazine--with a feature interview inside! Silversel is signed to the SMG label and their music is distributed by Sony Red.
