Invacare support World COPD Day 2015 with the release of new video content

GLAND, Switzerland - Nov. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- As part of their contribution to providing education for World COPD Day 2015, Invacare has released a video from their mini-symposium at the European Respiratory Society Annual congress in Amsterdam.

The mini-symposium, entitled ‘Long-term oxygen therapy in real life practice’, was chaired by Professor Jean-François Muir and had contributions from Dr. Kampelmacher, Isabelle Vivodtzev and Dr. Stuart A. Little.

The highlight of the event – and the subject of the new video - came from Dr. Stuart A. Little who gave a talk on the health economic aspects of long-term oxygen therapy. He provided details and insights from the highly anticipated ‘Scottish NHS Home Oxygen Health Economic study’, which has assessed the impact of a new ambulatory oxygen technology in Scottish homes.

Having outlined significant opportunities for improved quality of life and subsequent savings in healthcare costs, Dr. Stuart Little’s final words were “Good for the patient, good for the pocket”.
