CLEVELAND - Nov. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- One of Northeast Ohio's favorite holiday traditions -- Cleveland Botanical Garden's winter spectacular Glow -- returns for its fourth year. The seasonal celebration for adults and kids alike opens the day after Thanksgiving, November 27, and runs through Sunday, January 3.

Located at Cleveland’s University Circle, the Botanical Garden will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland full of seasonal cheer. Dozens of creative Christmas trees decorated by affiliate garden clubs will line the halls along with seasonal flowers, including 520 Amaryllis plants, 220 white hydrangeas and almost 700 poinsettias.

Visitors will enjoy viewing more than 150 decorated Gingerbread Houses created by kids, families and professionals. Children can climb aboard The Garden Express train for a ride through the lighted gardens and create their own gingerbread house.

New this year is the candy theme model train display by the Northern Ohio Garden Railway Society featuring lots of moving set pieces, 82 feet of track and two G gauge trains. Kids can control the trains with the push of a button.

Live performances of holiday favorites will ring through the halls, and the Glasshouse will glow. The kid-sized Treetop Shop will allow even the smallest of visitors to participate in the spirit of giving, and grown-ups can do their shopping at The Garden Store. The Wishing Tree invites those young and old to share their dearest wishes for the season and hang them on the tree. Classic holiday candies can be found at Mrs. Claus’ Sweet Shoppe.

At the popular Breakfast with Santa on December 6 and 13, Santa will make the rounds and meet with the youngest guests while they enjoy a breakfast buffet, crafts and cookie decorating and all the magic of Glow before it opens to the public. Advance reservations are required. Tickets are:  $25/member adult; $18/member child; $30/non-member adult; $23/non-member child; and Free for children 2 and under.

Don’t miss extended hours on Wednesday and Friday evenings and seasonal dinner specials. Make a day of it in University Circle and enjoy skating on real ice at the nearby Rink at Wade Oval.
