BME Institute launches project in DC to mentor, train and cultivate Black Millennial Millionaires

Nov. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 14): The Black Male Entrepreneur™ (BME) Institute, Inc. announced the Request for Applications for all start up companies and innovative small businesses led by black men in the DMV Region.

This BME Laboratory Series will feature technical business instruction and conversations with leading experts over an intense four-week training session. This BME Laboratory Series are designed with several key components that take a hybrid approach to entrepreneurial development; conceptual and practical readings relevant to the topic; business case studies illustrating key concepts and issues; lecture on practical application and examples; opportunities for small group mentoring and peer building sessions through mastermind grouping.  This first BME Laboratory Series was crafted in response to the high demand of the BME Institute Social Engagement Launch, held on April 17, 2015; where more than 50 men attended this event followed by hundreds of email inquiries to the co-founders, Howard R. Jean and Randall Keith Benjamin II.

The BME Institute, supported by the US Black Chamber, Inc. captured national interest with significant interviews by The ROOT, The Huffington Post, Chicago Tribune and the May 19th interview with journalist Roland Martin on the nationally syndicated NewsOne (http://newsone.com/3116164/initiative-to-launch-next-gene...)  television program.

Howard R. Jean, Chief Institute Engineer has shared the purpose of the BME Institute as noted by the  The Huffington Post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/20/black-male-entre...). “We know that having a cohort and having people around you to support you is great, but also having that business savvy, that curricula and the expertise of senior leaders, is going to help us propel these guys to higher heights and accelerate their growth,” Jean said.

Randall Keith Benjamin II, Chief Institute Connector, knows all too well the how the BME Institute will change lives. He has fielded hundreds of calls from potential mentors as well as lab participants representing 46 cities, 22 states and three foreign countries.  “Such growth could have a big effect on both the black community and the business world.” Benjamin said.
