Selerix Completes SOC 2 Type 1 Examination

MCKINNEY, Texas - Nov. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Benefit software solutions provider Selerix Systems, today announced the company has successfully completed an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) SSAE-16 Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2) Type 1 examination. The SOC reports for service organizations replace the previous SAS 70 reports and cover operational control systems following predefined trust services principles and criteria.

This examination is also an important step for benefits and enrollment service providers who house sensitive customer data and utilize information systems critical to their business operations. The audit was performed by an independent third party, and included a full assessment of the organizations:

-Security: Systems are protected against unauthorized access (both physical and logical)

-Confidentiality: Information designated as confidential is protected as committed or agreed

The SOC 2 Type 1 examination is widely recognized, and demonstrates Selerix Systems ability to handle data securely though the evaluation of: internal processes, procedures and controls.
