Democrat Andre Smith challenges Dunkin for State Rep. of the Illinois 5th District

CHICAGO - Nov. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Chicago IL, November 13, 2015:  On Tuesday, state Rep Ken Dunkin was the lone Democratic holdout on two bills that would have walked back changes made to social service programs by the governor. This occurred despite pleas from child care advocates and constituents of the 5th district. Andre Smith is a lifelong resident and Democrat of the fifth District. Smith says that he will be running a sincere campaign  to defeat State Rep. Ken Dunkin.

Smith says State Rep. Ken Dunkin missed a very important vote that would have defeated Governor Bruce Rauner's plan to cut 90 percent of child services.

Previous to this vote, Rep. Ken Dunkin, D-Chicago, decided not to cut short his trip to New York and skipped the session. Esta Gola came to represent her district in a wheelchair to show the importance of the vote while Governor Bruce Rauner new pal Ken Dunkin sells out the 5th District and union workers.

Smith says Dunkin has failed the 5th District by voting “present” on key issues. Dunkin has went from head of the Black Caucus to the head of the Governor Rauner's financial plantation.
