Tamarack Resort Offers One-day ‘Sneak Peek,’ Discounted Season Passes

DONNELLY, Idaho - Nov. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Tamarack Resort (http://tamarackidaho.com/) is thrilled to announce an early season opening on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015. Favorable weather conditions have blanketed the resort with 15 inches of snow in the past week. Plus, Tamarack is the closest resort to the Treasure valley with snowmaking.  Those two forces combine to give Tamarack the opportunity to offer an early season preview to its guests, and be the first resort to offer skiing in Idaho for the 2015-16 season.

“We want to invite people to come out, take a few fun turns, and pick up their season pass,” said General Manager Brad Larsen. “It’s a great way for skiers to get an early start and scratch that itch.”

During the one-day sneak peek, the Discovery Chair will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and guests can take some turns on the beginner hill. To ensure the mountain is in the best possible shape for opening day on December 11, the beginner hill will be the only terrain open for this early-season preview. While Tamarack won’t be offering the big mountain experience quite yet, terrain park features will be built into the beginner terrain to keep more experienced skiers and riders challenged. Tickets for the day are just $10, and children under 6 always ski for free.

“While we’re still prepping for our official December opening, we’ll have a small food and bar menu available,” said Larsen. “This is also a great time to buy tickets and season passes.”

The resort officially opens on Dec. 11 (http://tamarackidaho.com/event/projected-opening-day), but Monday, Nov. 16, will be the last day to purchase a discounted season pass.
