Green Marine Invests in Britain’s Biggest Marine-Specific Autoclave

LYMINGTON, U.K. - Nov. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Carbon composite racing and cruising yacht builder Green Marine is pleased to announce that it has recently made a significant 6-figure investment into a new autoclave at its shipyard in Hythe, Southampton.

The autoclave, which stands at 2.9m tall and 9.6m wide (working dimension of 9.4 x 2.65m), can be heated to over 200 degrees centigrade, offers 6-9Bar of pressure and has benefitted from a large investment programme to prepare the new autoclave for use.

Formerly used by the British Navy, this impressive system has the latest Eurotherm Nanodac system which controls and records autoclave processes, and is backed up with additional Pioclog recording.

Originally created to cure Naval Lynx helicopter blades, the autoclave is now being used to create carbon composite superyacht components from high tech foils to rudders, wheels and keels.
