Ryan Lewis is an active competitor for the past 15 years and owner of Dancesport Training Center. Ryan’s wish is to create “a center that exists with the sole intention of creating and offering an environment for training and development of the dancer. The training center will not be a typical social dance club which holds a variety of group class in all styles, as well as social parties. We want a place that will compliment what our great city has to offer its community. Our city has great venues for social parties and group classes. This center will focus on the amenities and tools needed for the dancer to excel in all forms of the learning process.” Ryan, along with his professional partner, Tessa Murphy, provide direction and instruction to dancers of all levels of experience. Students are training for competitions, showcases, or just to learn and become a better overall dancer. The one characteristic everyone shares is the desire to increase their skills and knowledge in this genre. The Center will provide an inviting space for students of all ages to: • Practice • Learn from books and videos • Take private lessons • Technique based group classes • Socialize with other likeminded dancers • Participate in events to practice floor craft – dancing on the floor with other couples to simulate a competitive situation In addition the Dancesport Training Center has plans to roll out a robust youth program in 2016 to help develop the skills and love of competitive ballroom dance in the Metroplex area. Dancesport Training Center will hold an open house Saturday, November 21st, 2:00p – 5:00p. This open house will enable people to come see the new facility and meet the owners as well as other adult and youth students.
