First Boudoir Photography Studio Opens in East Texas

LONGVIEW, Texas - Nov. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- On October 31 Angela Duncan, owner of Angela Duncan Photography & Behind Closed Doors Boudoir, opened her new 1,000 square-foot photography studio located at 2206 Jahan Trail in Longview, TX. Nearly half that space was designed specifically for boudoir style photos.

Boudoir is a photography genre that captures clients in an intimate setting, allowing them to express their sensuality without insecurity. Photos are often gifted to significant others as wedding, birthday or anniversary gifts. With the move to a new studio space, Angela is quadrupling the size of her previous Longview studio, and her private area for boudoir offers clients a welcoming and secure environment, as well as the ability to completely customize the set based on the session.

“I really wanted to have a space for my boudoir clients to feel comfortable,” said Angela. “Before, I was limited to marathon weekends held at local hotels. Now I can dedicate an entire day just to one client. They can tour the space ahead of time to get an idea of what it looks like and what to expect and together we can determine ways to customize their session.  It’s a discrete, private space that will allow a woman to really express herself.”

Angela began offering this style of photography several years ago to help women feel beautiful and confident. As boudoir photography has grown in popularity, so has the number of requests Angela receives. Accommodating client’s needs while reducing the cost of these sessions, which were previously priced due to space rentals, led Angela to the decision to move her business to a larger studio and add Behind Closed Doors Boudoir to her brand.

“I’m excited to bring this to East Texas and help women in the area start to embrace the goddesses they are,” said Angela. “I know I will boost confidence in women who choose these sessions with me. It is my job to find the best angles and light, flattering poses and positions during the shoot and help my clients see themselves the way someone else sees them. Women will leave Behind Closed Doors Boudoir holding their head higher and knowing that they are awesome.”

For East Texas residents considering boudoir who have not booked a session or might be unsure about the experience, Angela advises to stop waiting for perfection.

“You can wait, but if you give your self-esteem the boost now you’ll be amazed at how you feel,” she said. “Your body – the thing these photos showcase - has brought you a very long way. Your body is amazing exactly how it is, and when you look at your photos I promise you are not going to see those extra pounds. You're going to see how beautiful and strong and amazing you and your body really are.”

Behind Closed Doors Boudoir will offer individual and couples sessions. The studio celebrated its grand opening Saturday, Oct. 31 with a marathon boudoir session which sold out. Regular business hours are Monday – Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday sessions are by appointment only.
