SAVANNAH, Ga. - Nov. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- (SAVANNAH, GA) SAFE Shelter Center for Domestic Violence Services announces Bardwell B. Way has joined the organization as CFO. In addition, the organization dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence in the greater Savannah area has appointed four new board members.

Way previously served as vice president, Finance, for Goodwill Industries of the Coastal Empire, Inc., and is also a past president of the Savannah Lions Club. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Armstrong State University and is a Vietnam War Veteran.

“Bard has demonstrated success in providing senior leadership to a dynamic, growing service oriented non-profit association,” stated Cheryl Branch, executive director. “We are very happy to welcome him to our organization.”

The four new board members are Meg Albertson, Neil H. Cohen, Robin Wheeler and Stephanie Wilson-Evans.

Albertson is a cofounder of the public relations and marketing firm, Collective Marketing. She brings a diverse array of professional experience including marketing roles in real estate development, medical devices, technology, reality television and construction.

Cohen is the owner-operator of IRIS Property Concierge, providing property maintenance and management for absentee homeowners and real estate companies. He is a past board member of the Jewish Educational Alliance, Wilmington Island Club and Agudath Achim Synagogue.

Wheeler serves as sales and marketing director for Habersham House Assisted Living & Memory Care. She has also volunteered on boards for the Coastal Georgia Walk to Emmaus, Live Oak Public Library, Savannah Christian Prep School PTF and Junior League of Savannah.

Wilson-Evans is a founding partner and qualifying broker for Three Oaks Realty Company, LLC. In 2014, the Savannah Magazine and BiS (Business in Savannah) recognized her professional accomplishments and named her as a Generation NEXT recipient. She was also selected by The Coastal Bank and Mercer University’s Eugene W. Stetson School of Business and Economics as one of Savannah’s Rising Stars of Business.

“SAFE Shelter is very fortunate that these individuals, who all bring diverse strengths and talents, have chosen to join us in helping prevent domestic violence, protect victims and promote positive change for families in need in our community,” said Branch. “They will help provide the tools we need to continue to evolve and meet the ever-changing needs of our clients.”
