RecruitMilitary Veteran Career Fair Headed to Indianapolis on December 10

LOVELAND, Ohio - Nov. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- The military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce a veteran career fair at Murat Shrine Temple on Thursday, December 10, 2015. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. In addition, DeVry University will present a 10:30 a.m. seminar titled "Move in the Right Direction: Putting Your Career Goals into Action." During this session, veterans will acquire the skills needed to create a career vision and execute specific goals in their personal and professional lives.

“RecruitMilitary job fairs maintain a solid track record of helping veterans find meaningful employment,” said President and CEO Peter Gudmundsson, a former Captain in the Marine Corps. “Just last year, 55% of veteran job seekers expected to secure an interview as a result of their participation in a RecruitMilitary job fair, and employers were expected to extend as many as 29,000 interviews and more than 9,000 job offers.”

In July, the RecruitMilitary Indianapolis career fair connected nearly 200 veteran job seekers with exhibitors including The Kroger Company, Ulta Beauty, Norfolk Southern Corporation, and Calumet Specialty Products. Participating companies expected to conduct up to 350 interviews and make up to 125 job offers as a result of that career fair.

RecruitMilitary has produced veteran job fairs since 2006, and has held 11 events in Indianapolis, drawing more than 3,105 attendees and 373 exhibitors. By the end of 2015, the company will have produced more than 814 events in 65 cities across the country. RecruitMilitary will return to Indianapolis to host two more veteran career fairs in 2016.

Among those companies attending the upcoming Indianapolis event are Johnson Controls, Inc.; The Home Depot; Ulta; U.S. Customs and Border Protection; Outdoor Living Brands; and Sysco Foods.
