Akron Native Delivers Healing, Empowerment through Song

AKRON, Ohio - Nov. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Do you want to be free? Have you lost your voice, your ability to speak up? You haven’t been disqualified by your past, as Renita Walker reveals in her own confessions. Walker, known for her soulful ballads, is releasing her sophomore EP Confessions of a Worshipper at The Art Factory on November 14, 2015 at 7 p.m. Admission is $10 in advance and $13 at the door.

Walker, a married mother of three children and a chaplain, uses music as a vehicle to healing, freedom and empowerment.

“It’s my desire to point people to the living Word that empowers me to speak and reveal my testimony,” Walker says. “I have transitioned from death to life, from victim to victor, from being filled with shame to being secure, from wounded to worshipper. These are truly my confessions.”

The Confessions of a Worshipper release party also welcomes special musical guests Jaron M. LeGrair and Brandon Scarborough and vendors Sky Blue: Inspired Outerwear, Art Only Boutique, and food vendor A Difference in Dining.
